Contemporary art rooted in Ibiza’s earth pigments.

About

My name is Chloë, I am a contemporary artist living and creating on Ibiza. With a background in technical art history, I’ve always been fascinated by pigments, nature’s colours that have been used for centuries to tell stories and create art. Once you start noticing the colours around you, you can never unsee them. It opens upan entirely new way of looking at the world.

This is how I became endlessly inspired by the very elements that become the art itself: making paint from earth with water, letting it dry in the wind and the sun. Tracing dancing shadows on the ground, capturing the shimmer of the sun setting over the sea. Quite literally capturing the feeling of land and sea with nothing more than earth and water.

Creating art with nature’s pigments is a process of letting go of perfection, allowing the paint to guide me rather than the other way around. In that surrender, I discover beauty in every imperfection.

My art begins with nature’s pigments. Earth and water become colour, guided by light, shadow, and time. Each piece is a dialogue with the elements; imperfect, organic, and deeply alive.

The creative process does not end with the canvas. Works are held by a frame crafted from locally reclaimed Sabina beams. The same imperfections that shape the pigments echo in the wood; knots, grains, and textures becoming part of the story. In this way, canvas and frame belong to one another.
